Specimen Trophies and Awards
Members are encouraged to submit claims for the specimen fish awards.
These should be witnessed by a Bailiff or an independent Senior member of the Society.
(Any FAS Record Claim requires details of 2 x witnesses and their membership number)
Claims should be submitted to the Hon. Secretary, (see club information section), as soon as possible.
Trophy claims have to be submitted by 4th January 2027.
The winners of all specimen trophies and Awards and holders of new Society Records at 31st December each year will receive a complimentary permit for the following season.
Permits may also be awarded at the end of the year for specimen fish or exceptional catches at the discretion of the Executive Committee, these awards are based on a calendar year.
The A. O. King Memorial TrophyAwarded for the best specimen fish from Society waters, judged as percentage of national record for that species.
The Alan Peach TrayFor best Tench from Stockbridge Pond.
The Barry Cushing ShieldAwarded for the largest Tench from Frensham Great Pond and the winner also receives a year's subscription to The Tenchfishers.
The Joe Marshall Memorial ShieldBest specimen fish from Lodge Pond any species.
The Ron Hayes TrophyFor best Chub from Society Waters.
The Presidents ShieldBest specimen Barbel from Society Waters.
The Deryk Randall Specimen Carp AwardBest specimen Carp from Society Waters
The John Dowton AwardBest carp by a junior caught from Badshot Lea Small Pond
